SPOTLIGHT ON TRAINERS CANCELLED FOR 2004

The training showcase
presented each year for local governments and higher education facilities
has been cancelled for 2004.
Spotlight On Trainers has been
an annual presentation of training opportunities specifically geared toward
local governments in the region and is normally held in March.
The Local Government
Advisory Committee, which sponsors the event with the assistance of NIPC
staff, will be meeting this fall to plan for
Spotlight in 2005.

ABOUT NIPC:
The
Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission is the official comprehensive
planning agency for the six-county
Chicago
metropolitan area. The Commission was created by the Illinois General
Assembly in 1957 and assigned three broad responsibilities:

conduct research required for planning for the region;

comprehensive plans and policies to guide the development of the region;
