NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held by the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission on a requested amendment
to the ILLINOIS WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN on:

The Village of Lakewood has requested the transfer of 2,348 acres of non-FPA land into the Lakewood FPA. The request also includes an expansion of the Lakewood Wastewater Treatment Plant in two phases, to 0.95 mgd and then to 1.75 mgd. The Commission seeks comments regarding the relationship of the requested amendment to its “Procedures and Criteria for Proposed FPA expansions Affecting Identified Agricultural Preservation Areas,” "Criteria for Facility Plan Amendments to the Areawide Water Quality Management Plan," and other adopted plans and policies of the Commission.

Testimony submitted in writing on or before 5:00 PM, Wednesday, October 27, 2004 also will be made part of the hearing record. No additional testimony either verbal or written, will be accepted after the close of the hearing record or at subsequent Committee or Commission meetings.
